MAMA'S YUMMY SCONES

2 pkgs. yeast
2 TBSP sugar
1/2 c warm water
2 c milk
2 TBSP sugar
1 TBSP oil
1 TBSP salt
2 c cold water
2 eggs peaten
8 to 10 c flour, for a soft dough

Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water; let stand. Bring milk, sugar, oil and salt to a boil. Add cold water. Add yeast mixture, eggs and flour. Work quickly wihile dough is warm. Cover and let rise. Ready in 30 minutes. Roll out dough and cut into scones. Dep-fruy or fry in frying pan in hot oil until golden brown. (makes really good cinnamon rolls too...)

HOMEMADE SWEET & SOUR SAUCE

1 can (8oz) crushed pineapple
1 1/2 c sugar
1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1/2 c vinegar
1/2 c chopped onion
1/2 c chopped green pepper
1 TBSP soy sauce
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 TBSP cornstarch

Drain pineapple, reserving juice. In a saucepan combine sugar, tomatoes, vinigar, onions, green pepper, soysauce, ginger & pineapple.

Simmer for 20 minutes. In a bowl combine cornstarch & the reserved pineapple juice until smooth. Add to tomato mixture. Bring to a boil; stir for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.

ULTIMATE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

3/4 C Butter flavor Crisco
1 1/4 C Brown Sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
2 tbsp milk
1 egg
1 3/4 C flour
1 tsp Salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 C milk chocolate chips

Heat oven to: 375

Combine crisco, light brown sugar, milk & vanilla in large bowl. Beat mixture until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda mixing into creamed mixture then add chocolate chips.
Bake 8-10 min for chewy cookies; or 11-13 min crispy cookies

Yield: 3 dozen

SIMPLE PUMPKIN COOKIES

2 Spice cake mix
2 Eggs
1 Lg can pumpkin (pref. libbys)
Temp: 375
Bake: 14 min

PUMPKIN BARS

To celebrate the fall season here is a great recipe:

1 c oil
4 eggs
2 C sugar
1 15 oz can pumpkin (preferred libby's pumpkin)
2 C flour
1 tsp soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon

Spread batter evenly in lightly greased pan.

Bake 350 for 20-25 minutes

TOPPING:

1/2 C butter
2 C powdered Sugar
4 oz cream cheese
